Dr Subramaniam has extensive experience in both the fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy. He graduated from the Imperial College School of Medicine in 1999, and obtained his Fellowship in Psychiatry in 2012. He is an accredited member of the Faculty of Psychotherapy (RANZCP). Dr Subramaniam enjoys working with motivated patients who are seeking to find relief from their symptoms and experience more fulfilling lives. He utilises pharmacological, psychological and social approaches to help patients. He believes fulfilment comes from cultivating meaningful relationships and also having a sense of purpose, be it through work, study or other forms of engagement. Dr Subramaniam treats a variety of conditions including all forms of anxiety, mood disorders, posttraumatic conditions, perinatal issues as well as personality / interpersonal difficulties. Dr Subramaniam works in private practise in Melbourne and also holds a public appointment at Monash Health, where he is involved in the teaching and supervision of psychiatry registrars in the field of psychotherapy.
