Dr Burt is a Melbourne-based consultant psychiatrist. Before studying medicine, he served for over a decade as a soldier in the Australian Army, and as a paramedic in rural QLD. He completed his medical degree and specialist training in psychiatry in Sydney, with further training in adult psychiatry, cognitive behavioural therapy, and neurostimulation treatments including ECT and rTMS.
He has worked across rural, urban, and major tertiary hospital settings, and has experience supporting veterans, emergency services personnel, and people from a wide range of backgrounds. His approach is careful and thorough, with a focus on clear assessment and evidence-based treatment.
